SMS originating number

The only way to change SMS originating number is to do it on SMSC. There are certain ways to do it. The most common one is to get connection to carrier's SMSC via CIMD2 (or equivalent) protocol. This is usually paid service. Certain carriers give such service for free -- use google to find them.

Gnokii doesn't talk to SMSC but to the phone. It is not possible to change originating number that way.
